Google recently announced that site speed was going to become a significant factor in their ranking algorithm.

These changes have started to roll out across the last few weeks, and I have personally suffered in a big way!

Why Is Site Speed Important?

Speeding up the load times of websites is important for all internet users-

  • Faster sites maker happier users
  • Slow loading sites have lower user engagement/time spent on site
  • Reduce costs of servers resources/bandwidth
  • Speed now plays a critical role in Google’s search rankings

Although I was aware of these upcoming changes at Google, I didn’t act on them!  I have been majorly busy over the last few weeks and thought ‘heck I have a monster server it won’t affect me’!

Unlimited .edu and .gov Backlinks Free
